This Fluffy Little Bird Looks Like A Small Dragon

If you also like fantasy movies and Tv shows there are many times when you have wondered if the amazing creatures in them existed in real life. Wouldn’t that have been fantastic? Indeed, what animals am I actually talking about? Dragons. Do you agree with me when I say that there are creatures like them in the world?

The Great Eared nightjar is a adorable looking bird and very different from other birds, definitely you will be surprised when you see them. Also, they also have perky ears, long furry wings and a small, barely visible beak. The nightjar is definitely a sight for sore eyes.

They weigh approximately 0.131kg to 0.151kg and have a length ranging from 30cm to 40cm. The nightjar, scientifically named Lyncornis Macrotis, is a part of the family Caprimulgidae.

Nightjars are birds that prefer to live their days out at night and Predominantly found in Southeast Asia. Also, are found in forests most specific areas of the forest that has rivers. These birds feed on insects.

The first few months of the year are their mating season. Mother lay one egg and both the mother and father take care of the egg very dearly. In other way say, it is double the love for the precious egg.

The more interesting fact about their eggs is that they are laid on the grounds of the forest and made to look exactly like the floor providing additional protection for their babies.
